The Montreal Canadiens announced on Thursday night that forward Max Pacioretty will be sidelined for the next three weeks with a left hamstring strain.
Max Pacioretty injury: Will miss 3 weeks with hamstring strain
Max Pacioretty will miss the next three weeks with a left hamstring strain.
Pacioretty played just four minutes on Tuesday night against the Winnipeg Jets and was not in the lineup for Thursday's game, a 5-3 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets.
It’s a big loss for the Canadiens as Pacioretty has not only become one of their best players, but also one of the most productive players in the league. Since the start of the 2011-12 season Pacioretty has scored 50 goals (22nd in the NHL over that stretch) to go along with 57 assists and 466 shots on goal (10th in the NHL).
In five games this season he has two goals to go with one assist for the Canadiens.
With their win on Thursday the Canadiens improved to 5-2-0 on the season and have now won four consecutive games.
