The Detroit Red Wings made their Eastern Conference debut on Wednesday night and didn't waste any time showing off their skill, beating Sabres goalie Ryan Miller with a pair of goals less than a minute apart.

Pavel Datsyuk opened the season doing what he does best: Embarrassing goalies.
Just 53 seconds after Mikael Samuelsson tipped a Cory Emmerton pass behind Miller off the rush to give the Red Wings a 1-0 lead, Pavel Datsyuk broke out one of his signature dangles as he strolled through the offensive zone and ripped off this ridiculous backhand.
Good luck stopping that, goalies of the NHL.
