Matt Moulson scores in Buffalo Sabres debut

Matt Moulson scored just three-and-a-half minutes into his debut with the Buffalo Sabres.

So how will Matt Moulson produce now that he is no longer riding shotgun on a line with John Tavares?

It appears that he will do just fine. It took Moulson just three-and-a-half minutes into his debut with the Buffalo Sabres on Monday night to score his first goal with his new team.

Moulson was acquired by the Sabres over the weekend in a blockbuster trade that sent Thomas Vanek to the Islanders. He's scored 30 goals in three of the past four seasons (the only year he didn't reach 30 goals was last year's lockout shortened season) and had developed great chemistry with Tavares, making his inclusion in the trade quite surprising.

His goal on Monday is already his seventh of the season.
