Colorado Avalanche captain Gabriel Landeskog will not be available for Friday night's game against the Nashville Predators, the team announced.
Gabriel Landeskog injury: Avalanche captain out with leg issue
The Colorado Avalanche will be without their captain on Friday night.

Landeskog sustained a leg injury and will be evaluated on a day-to-day basis. Head coach Patrick Roy stated that Landeskog should be available to travel with the team on their upcoming three-game road trip next week. With Landeskog out of the lineup, Roy expects to move John Mitchell up to the second line with Alex Tanguay and Paul Stastny. Marc-Andre Cliche will move into Mitchell's spot on the fourth line and will likely see time on the penalty kill.
Colorado opened the season with a 6-1 victory over the Anaheim Ducks. Despite the surprising performance, Roy's altercation with Ducks coach Bruce Boudreau drew the attention of national headlines. Predators coach Barry Trotz provided comment on Thursday expressing displeasure with Roy's outburst. Trotz wasn't alone, as the NHL fined the coach $10,000 for the incident.
Friday night’s contest is scheduled to begin at 9 p.m. ET.
