Maple Leafs vs. Senators: Senators score twice in 15 seconds

This is all Morgan Rielly and Cody Franson’s fault.

Tom Szczerbowski-USA TODAY Sport

This has not been a good debut for Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Morgan Rielly. Rielly and his partner Cody Franson have been on the ice (and were primarily responsible) for three of the four goals Toronto has given up on Saturday. The last two cost James Reimer his job for the night.

Jared Cowen's goal, Ottawa's third of the night, pretty much sums up the adventures of Franson and Rielly in their own end so far. Give the Sens a lot of room on entry, get caught chasing and stand around as your goalie flails around like a fish out of water. Rinse and repeat. Jason Spezza put Reimer out of his misery just fifteen seconds later.

Fortunately for the Leafs, Mason Raymond is on fire with three assists. Toronto trails 4-3 heading into the third period.
