The NHL plans to continue pursuing legal action against former Phoenix Coyotes owner Jerry Moyes for expenses related to the team's bankruptcy, according to deputy commissioner Bill Daley as reported by Pierre LeBrun of TSN.

Despite having their claims dismissed last week, the NHL still plans to pursue legal action against Jerry Moyes.

A federal bankruptcy court in Arizona threw out the majority of the league’s charges last week, but Daly states the NHL still plans to pursue further action, via TSN:
“We are still evaluating our immediate options, but we have every intention of continuing to pursue our claims against Mr. Moyes for blatant breaches of his contractual obligations to the League.”
The NHL filed a suit against Moyes in 2010 for breach of agreements and fiduciary duty. Moyes filed for bankruptcy in 2009, which resulted in the league taking over operational control of the franchise until August of 2013. The NHL attempted to recover $145.9 million, which includes $6.5 million in unpaid salary to former head coach Wayne Gretzky.
Judge Redfield Baum ruled that Moyes was not responsible for the organization’s operating losses or Gretzky’s salary, but remained undecided on the NHL’s request to have Moyes cover attorneys’ fees and unsecured creditors.
The Coyotes were sold to IceArizona in August for $170 million.
