The hat trick of discipline measures has been completed by Toronto Maple Leafs forward Nazem Kadri, as the NHL has announced that he will have a hearing with the Department of Player Safety on Thursday afternoon.
Nazem Kadri hearing: Maple Leafs F to speak with Player Safety
Toronto Maple Leafs forward Nazem Kadri will have a phone hearing with the NHL Department of Player Saftey on Thursday.

Kadri will speak with the league's discipline department in relation to the contact he made with Minnesota Wild goaltender Nicklas Backstrom on Wednesday night. The incident occurred in the first period and resulted in Kadri receiving a two-minute minor for goaltender interference. Backstrom had to leave the game after the hit.
The Department of Player Safety has called the hearing on the grounds of charging and goaltender interference.
However, Kadri was ejected later in the contest after hitting Minnesota forward Mikael Granlund into the boards in the third period. The on-ice officials penalized Kadri with a match penalty.
While this incident wasn’t mentioned in the release, past incidents have proven that the department can take these kinds of things into account when determining supplemental discipline. Kadri has yet to be suspended in his career.
