The fallout from Friday's physical contest in Philadelphia isn't good for the Flyers, as both Vincent Lecavalier and Steve Downie suffered rather serious injuries from fighting.
Flyers injuries: Lecavalier out a few weeks, Downie remains in hospital
Both players were injured in fights on Friday.

As of the last hour, Flyers forward Steve Downie was still in a Philadelphia hospital undergoing treatment for a concussion he suffered during a fight on Friday, per Philadelphia Daily News’ Frank Seravalli.
Downie was injured during a fight with Washington Capitals forward Aaron Volpatti during the second period of Philly's 7-0 loss on Friday. Seravalli also reports that Downie asked Volpatti to end the fight after realizing the extent of his injury. Downie was taken to the hospital on a stretcher two hours after the fight and remained overnight with a concussion. The Flyers have not provided any official update on his status.
Lecavalier was injured during a third period line brawl when he fought Steve Oleksy. He suffered a facial injury and lost a few teeth, but TSN’s Bob McKenzie reports that the injury will sideline him for a few weeks. Lecavalier missed a week with an injury earlier this year.
It remains to be seen whether goalie Ray Emery will face league discipline for his part in the line brawl. As of Saturday morning the NHL had not scheduled any hearings with any of the players involved.
