Oft-suspended forward Patrick Kaleta has been placed on waivers by the Buffalo Sabres, GM Darcy Regier announced on Saturday.
Buffalo Sabres place Patrick Kaleta on waivers
The Sabres have sent Kaleta a message as his ten-game suspension expires.

Kaleta was eligible to return to action on Saturday as his ten-game suspension for a head shot on Blue Jackets defenseman Jack Johnson expired. Instead, the Sabres decided to send a message to Kaleta: clean up your game, and then we'll talk about bringing you back to the NHL.
Regier quote, per release: "This was a move we thought was necessary to help Pat change his game and preserve his career in this league...

Kaleta has been suspended three times in his career. He was benched for five games for checking Brad Richards from behind in March and four games for headbutting Jakub Voracek in 2011. Kaleta hasn't recorded a point this season for Buffalo, and clearly the Sabres have had enough with Kaleta's antics.
