Jonathan Quick Injury: Kings goaltender out another month
Kings GM Dean Lombardi appeared on Sportnet’s Hockey Central At Noon, and had some surprising news on injured goaltender Jonathan Quick.

Wow... Dean Lombardi just told HockeyCentral at noon that Jonathan Quick will be out at least another month.
— John Shannon (@JSportsnet) November 20, 2013 That news doesn't hit the Kings too hard, as they've seen Ben Scrivens step up with four straight wins and two shutouts since Quick went down. Scrivens' .949 save percentage is considerably more impressive than Quick's .909, however Quick did seem to be bouncing back after a slow start to the year before he got hurt.
Where this news really has an impact is for Team USA in the upcoming Winter Olympics in Sochi. Quick has long been assumed to be the starter for the Americans, and although there are other great candidates in the mix, another month out of action muddies the water for the management team.
How Team USA’s brass handles this situation will be interesting to watch, especially with several American goaltenders underperforming.
