It wasn't as lopsided as their first meeting this season, but the Anaheim Ducks completed a regular season sweep of the New York Rangers with a 2-1 win on Monday night, giving them the top spot in the NHL with 25 points. The Ducks used a fast start and a couple of goals from Corey Perry and Nick Palmeri to earn Monday's win, and then relied on Frederik Andersen to do the rest.

The Anaheim Ducks win over the New York Rangers put them back on top of the NHL standings, while the Winnipeg Jets, without Evander Kane, outplayed the Detroit Red Wings.
In the NHL’s only other game on Monday the Winnipeg Jets were 4-2 winners against the Detroit Red Wings, and it was perhaps the best showing from the Jets all season.

1. How will the return of Captain Callahan impact the Rangers?
Even though they didn’t get the result, the Rangers played really well on Monday night until a late meltdown in the third period as they attempted to get Henrik Lundqvist off the ice for the extra attacker. More efforts like this and the Rangers are going to win a lot more games than they lose.
2. Will the Rangers keep their winning streak alive?
They did not, thanks to the combination of a slow start and some impressive goaltending from Andersen as he picked up his fourth win in as many starts for Anaheim.
3. Will the Rangers seek retribution against the Ducks?
If they did, it didn’t show up in this game. Rangers coach Alain Vigneault was not happy that the Ducks put their top power play unit on the ice at the end of a 6-0 win earlier this season and talked about it before Monday’s game. The Ducks didn’t get a power play until late in the third period and used it to run out the clock.
4. Will the Detroit Red Wings‘ winning streak end or will the Winnipeg Jets’ winless streak be snapped?
The Jets were pretty impressive on Monday night, not only beating the Red Wings 4-2, but completely dominating them in the possession game outshooting them 47-28 and attempting 76 total shots (goals, saves, misses, blocks) to the Red Wings’ 50. And the Jets did it without Evander Kane, their best player, in the lineup.
5. Will Winnipeg score more than two goals?
They did! They actually doubled that total. It’s just the sixth time this season, and the first time in five games, that the Jets scored more than two goals in a game this season.
Impact Moment
The one play or moment from Monday’s games that will be making headlines over the next couple of days.
The Rangers really should get a lot of criticism for the way they handled the final three-and-a-half minutes of Monday’s game in their failed attempts to pull Henrik Lundqvist and tie the game. It was actually kind of impressive (in a bad way) watching the Rangers turn their own 5-on-3 into a 3-on-5 in less than three minutes and get outshot, 5-0, over the remainder of the game.
Stat of the Night
Pavel Datsyuk has 59 more goals (261) than he does penalty minutes (202) in his career, which is darn impressive. That stat comes via @TheTripleDeke. Not only is it impressive, it's pretty rare. Look at it this way, according to the database at Hockey-Reference there are only 25 players in NHL history (including Datsyuk) that have at least 250 goals at the NHL level and fewer than 250 penalty minutes.
