Milan Lucic gets into altercation outside bar

Some guy tried to fight Milan Lucic outside of a bar, which sounds like one of the worst ideas, ever.

Debate still exists over whether fighting should be removed from professional hockey. Regardless, one would be wisely encouraged to remove fighting with a professional hockey player from their daily life, especially if that player happens to be Boston Bruins forward Milan Lucic.

A video was uploaded to YouTube on Dec. 15 that shows Lucic getting into a verbal confrontation with another individual. The unidentified individual is heard threatening Lucic, and Lucic states that he was hit twice by the individual (it’s not displayed on camera). To his credit, Lucic handles himself fairly well (at least, from what the footage shows) and seemingly tries to pacify the situation.

Here is the video, which contains profane language:

The uploader alleges that the incident occurred on Saturday night in Vancouver, which would have come hours after the Bruins lost to the Canucks, 6-2. The Bruins and Canucks have a heated relationship, which stems back to the Bruins beating the Canucks in the 2011 Stanley Cup Final. Lucic is a native of Vancouver and experienced some hostility when he brought the Stanley Cup to Vancouver.

In terms of wanting to fight Milan Lucic, well, just watch this and it will become pretty clear why you’d probably never want to do that ever.

Update:

Lucic commented on the incident during media availability on Monday morning stating that he was relaxing after the loss when he was attacked by the individual:

Lucic is angry about the incident and stated that he will no longer be going out in Vancouver:
