Canada is favored to win the 2014 World Junior Championship, according to the line makers at Bovada. Canada, who failed to medal at last year’s tournament and have gone four tournaments without a gold medal, are favored to end that drought this year at 7/4 odds.

Russia, Sweden and the reigning champion United States teams are all given 3/1 odds of winning the tournament, while Finland is given 14/1 odds to win the tournament. Here’s a complete breakdown of the odds, courtesy of Bovada:

Odds
Canada 7/4
Russia 3/1
Sweden 3/1
United States 3/1
Finland 14/1
Czech Republic 25/1
Switzerland 40/1
Slovakia 100/1
Germany 300/1
Norway 500/1

The United States defeated Sweden in last year’s gold medal game, while Canada was defeated by Russia for the bronze medal. Since 2007, some combination of Canada, Russia, Sweden or the United States has medaled at the World Junior Championship. Finland was the last team besides those four to earn a medal when it earned bronze in the 2006 tournament (Canada won gold after defeating Russia in the championship game).
