Roberto Luongo injury: Canucks goalie leaves game in first period
Roberto Luongo left the Canucks’ game on Sunday after playing just 16 minutes.

The only update the Canucks would give between periods was that Luongo was “being evaluated” by the team’s medical staff. After the game the team announced that he is day-to-day with a lower body injury.
Luongo had stopped all six shots he faced before exiting with the Canucks leading 1-0.
Entering play on Sunday Luongo had appeared in 31 games for the Canucks this season and had a .919 save percentage to go with a 16-9-6 record.
Luongo was also pulled in his most recent start after surrendering four goals on 19 shots in a loss to the Dallas Stars.
Lack stopped 15 of the 16 shots he faced in relief of Luongo on Sunday to help lead the Canucks to a 2-1 win.
