Chris Kreider whiffs on shot, still scores

Chris Kreider doesn’t even need to actually shoot to score.

Sometimes you need a little luck to score in the NHL. Especially if you completely whiff on your shot like New York Rangers forward Chris Kreider did on Sunday night.

Niklas Backstrom will be remembering this one for quite a while.

My goodness. Backstrom’s timing was no doubt thrown off by that change up that was thrown at him, but … wow. That goal made it 4-1 Rangers in the third period.
