The Ottawa Senators are plagued by penalties on Saturday, but the most egregious mistake was self-inflicted.
Leafs vs. Senators: Marc Methot sabotages Craig Anderson
Committing goalie interference on your own goalie isn’t a good idea.

Late in the second period, the Senators were hemmed in their own zone. While Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Jake Gardiner circled the zone with the puck, Marc Methot battled James van Riemsdyk beside the net. Methot shoved van Riemsdyk into goalie Craig Anderson at the exact moment Gardiner shot the puck.
Whoops. The Senators trail Toronto 3-1 after two periods.
