Devils vs. Rangers: Eric Gelinas scores overtime winner for New Jersey

Gelinas took the game right back.

Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

Minutes after watching their lead slip away, the Devils took it right back. Eric Gelinas' overtime winner propelled New Jersey to a 4-3 victory over the New York Rangers in what was most likely Martin Brodeur's final game at Madison Square Garden.

The Devils held a 3-2 lead with under a minute remaining until red-hot Rangers forward Chris Kreider tied the game with 21.3 seconds remaining.

Rangers captain Ryan Callahan took a double-minor for high sticking just a minute into the overtime period, and Gelinas capitalized just a few seconds into the man advantage.
