Leafs vs. Flyers: Reimer leaves game with injury

The Leafs goaltender suffered the apparent leg injury in the second period.

After two instances of good news (including a Colton Orr goal that nobody on Twitter expected), the Leafs' good mojo just came crashing to the ground.

Toronto goaltender James Reimer has just left the game during the second period against the Flyers with an apparent groin injury. He seemed to lean awkwardly on his left leg when he was reaching for a save during a scrum in front of the net. Ben Scrivens has entered the game for the Leafs and will try and protect a 4-1.

This is potentially horrible news for a Leafs squad that has played very well this year, with Reimer’s performance playing a rather big factor. Reimer battled a concussion all of last season and was enjoying a good bounce back year up to this point.

By the way, the Flyers have now pulled Ilya Bryzgalov in favor of Brian Boucher. Goaltending woes galore in Toronto this evening.
