Mike Liut, the agent of Vancouver Canucks goaltender Cory Schneider, stated in a telephone interview with Brad Ziemer of the Vancouver Sun, that he and the rest of Schneider's camp was hopeful that the goaltender would be starting 75 percent of the team's games this season.

Cory Schneider’s agent made it clear that Schneider’s camp was hopeful that the goaltender would receive a large majority of the playing time this year. With Roberto Luongo starting the last four games, it has made the Schneider camp a bit concerned about the situation.

While that number is still a possibility, the recent play of Roberto Luongo might hamper that expectation.
Having started the team’s last four games, Luongo currently has a 3-0-2 record with a .940 save percentage and 1.53 goals against average. Given that Schneider was anointed as the team’s undisputed No. 1 goaltender entering the season, this turn of events has clouded the goaltending situation in Vancouver and has Liut a bit concerned, via the Vancouver Sun:
“What you have is two goalies and there’s only one net and you are trying to trade one of them. So you have to play him. Now it’s four games in a row, does that give you some concern at the same time? Sure, because with a player like Cory you want to see him play every night.”
He made it clear that a resolution to the situation is best for all involved parties:
“If they are both there for the entire season, and it’s a 48-game season, and Roberto plays 40 games, that’s a disaster. That’s an extreme and I don’t think that’s going to happen, but certainly the sooner the better.”
In a radio interview on Vancouver’s TEAM 1040 on Tuesday, general manager Mike Gillis stated that the organization is conscious of the player’s ice-time and winning games but doesn’t have the luxury of considering people’s feelings.
