Five Answers
Prior to last night's games, we presented five burning questions regarding the night's action. Here are your cool, soothing answers.
1. Will Ray Emery remain perfect?
The Blackhawks lost the game, and Emery lost his perfect record, after the Ducks scored the go-ahead goal with a little over two minutes remaining in the game.
2. Will the Ducks snap their four-game losing streak?
The Ducks got back to their winning ways with their victory over the Blackhawks. Anaheim won all three of their games against Chicago this season.
3. How will the Tampa Bay Lightning perform in head coach Jon Cooper's debut?
The Lightning showed resolve and determination in their victory over the Devils, coming from behind to tie the score several times, including in the final minute of the game, before winning in a shootout.
4. Will the Minnesota Wild extend their seven-game winning streak?
The Wild collapsed against the Stars due to sloppy turnovers and unreliable goaltending and lost the game 5-3, snapping their winning streak.
5. How will the Calgary Flames perform in their first game in the post-Jarome Iginla era?
The Blue Jackets held a two-goal lead three separate times in a wild second period, and eventually won the game 6-4 after adding an empty-net goal. The Flames lost their first post-Iginla game, sure, but that’s mostly what they did when they had Jarome Iginla, so...not much has changed I guess.
Impact Moment
What moment from last night's games will be making headlines in the coming days?
The Ducks' defeat of the Blackhawks moved Anaheim to within three points of Chicago for the top seed in the Western Conference.
Stat of the Night
Congratulations to Jaromir Jagr:
That is Jagr's 1,000th career assist on the Benn goal. He is 12th all-time in NHL history.

- Should the Sharks trade Dan Boyle?
- Which Nashville Predators might be available at the trade deadline?
- Jarome Iginla, Re-Builds, and Wandering the Desert
- Finally, after getting embarrassed by Pavel Datsyuk Thursday night, Logan Couture has been hearing about it from his teammates:
@logancouture @tommywingels maybe we better talk to @datsyuk13 and figure out to shake ya!
