*The Leafs may finally be willing to move for a goaltender, but the question is what they should have to give up. TSN’s Bob McKenzie says the price on Roberto Luongo hasn’t moved, though according to Jason Botchford of the Vancouver Province, the Canucks are making “one final push” to get a Luongo deal done. The Leafs may look into Mikka Kiprusoff as an option, if he can be had for the price of a draft pick, unlike Luongo, whom Vancouver is said to want prospects, a pick and Tyler Bozak in return for. Lyle Richardson of Spector’s Hockey, however, doubts Kiprusoff could be had for a mere pick. The Leafs would have to include young goaltender Ben Scrivens in any trade.

*Bryan Murray of the Senators has a team that has somehow kept improving despite the losses of Jason Spezza, Erik Karlsson, Craig Anderson and Milan Michalek. Ottawa will likely be a playoff team regardless, so Murray has inquired about possibly improving his lineup. According to the Ottawa Sun and Bruce Garrioch, Murray has asked the Dallas Stars about forwards Jaromir Jagr and Derek Roy. Neither would come cheap for Ottawa, however. Some teams have also asked Murray about the availability of goaltender Ben Bishop, but most seem to think they won’t deal the young goalie.
*The Winnipeg Jets are leading the Southeast Division, but some fans are worried that the team may trade away Ron Hainsey, a pending UFA, to get something in return should he leave this July. The Winnipeg Sun reports that the Boston Bruins are believed to be among the teams interested in his services.
