The Los Angeles Kings will begin their defense of the Stanley Cup when the team challenges the St. Louis Blues at Scottrade Center on Tuesday night. Los Angeles is attempting to become the first team since the Detroit Red Wings (1997, 1998) to win consecutive Stanley Cups. Entering the playoffs as the No. 5 seed, the Kings managed to turn around a sluggish start to the season with a dominating 19-4-1 record at home.
Blues vs. Kings schedule: Los Angeles’ title defense begins Tuesday in St. Louis
The Blues and Kings will kickoff their Western Conference Quarterfinal series on Tuesday, April 30 in St. Louis.

St. Louis used a late-season surge to earn the No. 4 seed and will begin the first-round on a three-game winning streak. The Blues allowed the second fewest goals against of any team in the West and could ride their defensive style to victory over the defending champs. Last season, these two teams met in the semifinal round with Los Angeles completing a four-game sweep. This season, St. Louis will look to turn the tables.
