Blues vs. Kings: Justin Williams sends it to overtime with 32 seconds left
The St. Louis Blues were 32 seconds from winning Game 1 and beating the Los Angeles Kings for the first time in eight tries. Justin Williams said, try harder.

The Blues led the game by a slim 1-0 margin for 59 minutes of this one, but Justin Williams sent it to overtime with a shot over Brian Elliott's shoulder in the final minute.
This came just seconds after Alexander Steen and Vladimir Sobotka each had chances to seal victory while Jonathan Quick was pulled from the Kings net, but each was blocked in the neutral zone by the determined Kings.
It’s been a tough, physical game throughout, though the Blues have had the better of play and outshot the defending Stanley Cup champs 36-19 through regulation, including 27-15 at even strength. Quick basically kept the Kings in the game.
Earlier in the third period, there was a scary moment when Blues center David Backes and Kings defenseman Robyn Regehr collided, Backes' right skate hitting Regehr in the nose:
It was centimeters away from disaster, but ended up just being a really bloody cut on Regehr’s nose. (Yes, there was blood.) Naturally, Regehr quickly returned to the game, because hockey players.
