Wild vs. Blue Jackets: Jason Pominville scores first goal for Minnesota

His family was in town to see it.

Jason Pominville is having himself a nice little Sunday night.

The former Sabres captain's wife, kids and father-in-law drove to Columbus from Buffalo and surprised him today before the game, and he didn't let them down. (Wouldn't it be quicker to fly? Or no? Help a Texan out here, you East Coasters.)

Pominville iced the game with his first goal in a Wild uniform late in the third period, off of a nice 2-on-1 feed from Zach Parise. The goal sealed a 3-0 win for the Wild over a suddenly struggling Columbus squad. It was also Pominville's first multi-point game for Minnesota. And his family was even there to soak it all in.
