Penguins vs. Islanders Game 1 update: Pittsburgh terrorizing Evgeni Nabokov

Pittsburgh leads 2-0 after one period.

Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin have never scored against Evgeni Nabokov.

But Beau Bennett has! The Penguins rookie scored his first playoff goal and the first goal of the series just 3:30 into the game. None of it would've been possible if Jarome Iginla hadn't dazed Evgeni Nabokov moments earlier.

In fact, Iginla has been flat out terrorizing Nabby so far. He has two of the Penguins 13 shots so far, as the Islanders have just let Pittsburgh get as much space in their offensive zone as they like. Nabokov is the only thing keeping them in it.

And yet, he's still human. He made another mistake by coming too far out of his net, leading to this goal by Pascal Dupuis.

Yikes. The Islanders go into the first intermission having been completely outplayed by their rivals, and you have to wonder if they have what it takes to keep up with Pittsburgh. We shall see. The Penguins own a 2-0 lead and start the second period on the power play.
