Only a few minutes into the third period of Game 2 between the San Jose Sharks and the Los Angeles Kings, center Anze Kopitar took a puck to the face and went down to the ice bleeding from the mouth:

Kopitar went down bleeding, but was back in action after a short trip to the locker room.

Kopitar headed to the dressing room, and the Kings' forward lines were scrambled to compensate. Los Angeles was already without center Jarret Stoll after his injury in Game 1 of the series, and without Kopitar the team suddenly looked very thin down the middle. Kopitar would return to the game after missing nearly half a period.
Kopitar is the most talented offensive player for the Kings, and plays the toughest minutes of any of their forwards. When the Sharks and Kings met in the playoffs two years ago, Kopitar missed that series and the Sharks won it in six games.
