Rangers vs. Bruins Game 3 update: Rangers lead despite Boston barrage

Boston can’t solve Henrik Lundqvist so far.

The Rangers finally figured out how to beat Tuukka Rask in the second period of Game 3 and will defend a 1-0 lead in the final frame.

With Zdeno Chara and Dougie Hamilton blocking his view, Taylor Pyatt tipped in a shot from the point to give New York its first lead of the game.

New York might've cashed in early, but the Bruins owned the rest of the period. Henrik Lundqvist turned away all 14 shots he faced, while Rask only saw four more after Pyatt's goal. So far Boston's plan to suffocate Rick Nash has worked brilliantly. Other than one shot in the first period, Nash has been pretty invisible thus far. The most active players for New York have been Derek Stepan and Ryan Callahan.

And yet the Rangers lead after two. Even an illegal shot attempt can’t get past King Henrik!
