Tuukka Rask takes a seat

The Boston Bruins goalie must have felt bad for the New York Rangers.

Sometimes when a goalie doesn’t get a lot of work in a game, his mind can wander. It can be hard to keep focused on the action. A guy can start to daydream, maybe even get a bit sleepy.

That might have been what happened to Boston Bruins' goaltender Tuukka Rask in the second period against the New York Rangers. The Bruins had been dominating all night, and Rask had only faced about six shots through the first half of the game. He clearly wasn't ready for this sort-of-shot from New York's Carl Hagelin:

Was Rask napping? Did he get bored and sit down to start drawing on the ice with his stick?

Maybe he just felt bad for the Rangers, who are facing a sweep and had been playing with no urgency at all up to this point in the game.

That must be it. Rask is just a really charitable guy.

After this blunder, the Bruins lead the Rangers, 2-1.
