Blackhawks vs. Red Wings Game 4 update: Scoreless in first period

Bryan Bickell would prefer Henrik Zetterberg not make his teammates look bad.

The Detroit Red Wings and Chicago Blackhawks remained scoreless through the first period of Game 4 as the Wings tried to continue the approach that frustrated the President's Cup-winning Hawks in the past two games.

Chicago was breaking through, however, outshooting Detroit 14-10 in the period and starting to spend more and more time in the Detroit zone.

There were a few near-chances for either side but no breathtaking highlight saves. But as Chicago increased pressure, Wings goaltender Jimmy Howard was on top of his game, reading several deflections and stopping play with a freeze when the opportunity allowed.

On one of Detroit's chances, Henrik Zetterberg turned the Hawks defense inside out to get a break-in alone on Corey Crawford, but he sailed his backhand high and out of play.

Hawks agitator Bryan Bickell let Zetterberg know what he thought of Zetterberg making his defense look bad:

Though it was still scoreless, the Wings will need to be better (outside of Howard) to take this one and grab a 3-1 lead in the series.
