The Boston Bruins were aggressive to open Game 4 of their first-round series against the Toronto Maple Leafs, but they don’t have much to show for it. The Bruins led the period in shots, 16-8, but it was the Maple Leafs who had a 2-0 lead at the end of the first.

Toronto had several more quality chances in the first period, and it easily could have been 3-0 in their favor if not for solid play from goaltender Tuukka Rask.
Boston's best chance came with a few minutes to go when David Krejci got the puck past Reimer, but it glanced off the post and the Bruins remained scoreless.
With 1:30 remaining the Leafs struck again. This time it was Cody Franson with the goal, with an assist from Lupul giving him his second point of the night:
The Maple Leafs were up 2-0 at the end of the first, and Zdeno Chara has been having a rough game:
