Bruins vs. Blackhawks Game 1 update: Chicago forces overtime

Game 1 between the Boston Bruins and the Chicago Blackhawks was a back-and-forth contest in the opening two periods, with the Bruins scoring the game's first goal and the Blackhawks driving the play for most of the second period. At the end of regulation, the teams found themselves tied, 3-3, and will battle it out in overtime.

It looked good for the Bruins to start the third period. They went up, 3-1, when Patrice Bergeron scored on the power play with 13:51 remaining in regulation:

But the Blackhawks would answer back just a few minutes later after a bad Torey Krug giveaway led to a 2-on-1, and Andrew Shaw fed Dave Bolland for the goal:

And just past the midway point of the third period, Johnny Oduya fired the puck at the net and got a fortunate bounce when the puck went off Andrew Ference 's skate and past Tuukka Rask to tie the game at three:

The action intensified as time ticked away, including this near-breakaway from Daniel Paille that Brent Seabrook somehow managed to shut down without taking a penalty:
