Patrick Kane wins Conn Smythe Trophy
Patrick Kane was awarded the Conn Smythe Trophy for compiling 19 points during the postseason en route to leading his Chicago Blackhawks to the Stanley Cup championship.
Kane had a tumultuous relationship with the 2013 playoffs as he struggled to consistently produce over the course of the run. He did contribute at the most opportune times, however, as the scorer helped close out the Los Angeles Kings run in the Western Conference Final with a hat trick in the series' deciding game (his third goal was the overtime winner).
Kane also recorded a two-goal effort in Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final, propelling the Blackhawks to a 3-2 series lead.
Kane compiled 19 points and finished with the team lead in that category during the postseason over the course of the 2013 playoffs.
