Pending restricted free agent goaltender Tuukka Rask is looking to sign a contract in the six-year, $39 million range, according to a report by Joe Haggerty of Comcast SportsNet New England.

Citing a source with knowledge of the negotiation, Haggerty reports that Rask and his representation are using that total as a starting point for negotiations because it's the deal given to Carey Price by the Montreal Canadiens. Haggerty writes that Rask is looking at that total as the minimum he is willing to play for.
Rask finished out a one-year, $3.5 million contract in 2013. General manager Peter Chiarelli indicated that Rask's postseason performance was going to impact negotiations. Given Rask's contributions during the Bruins' run to the Stanley Cup Final, it seems likely that a sizable raise is on the way.
In 138 career regular season games, Rask has compiled a .927 save percentage with a 2.15 goals-against average.
