Bruins vs. Penguins Game 2 update: Boston keeps control in 2nd

The Bruins held on to their 3 goal lead in the 2nd period, and the Penguins have their work cut out for them with 20 minutes remaining.

After a disastrous first period for Pittsburgh that saw them go down 4-1, the Penguins managed to stop the bleeding in the second, but the Bruins continued to keep a stranglehold on the Pittsburgh offense.

The Penguins had a chance to try to get back into the game when they went on just the second power play of the game at 11:54 of the second. Pittsburgh benefited from a foolish tripping infraction from Brad Marchand in the offensive zone, but the mistake didn't end up costing the Bruins in the end. The Penguins managed just a single shot with the man advantage.

With 40 minutes in the books, the biggest highlight for the Penguins just might be this hit from Matt Cooke:

Pittsburgh will need to generate some offensive highlights in the third period to avoid heading to Boston down 2-0 in this series.The Penguins had just 13 shots at the second intermission.
