The Pittsburgh Penguins have come to terms on a contractual agreement with unrestricted free agent forward Matt D'Agostini, the team announced on Wednesday afternoon. The two sides have agreed to a one-year, $550,000 contract.

The 26-year-old forward finished out a two-year, $3.3 million contract with the New Jersey Devils, which carried an annual average value of $1.65 million against the salary cap. He earned a prorated $1.8 million in 2013, after being paid $1.5 million over the course of the 2011-12 season, according to CapGeek.com.
D'Agostini was acquired by New Jersey in March via trade with the St. Louis Blues for a conditional draft pick in the 2015 NHL Draft. In 13 games with the Devils, D'Agostini registered four points (two goals, two assists), six penalty minutes and averaged 12:51 of ice time per game.
Originally selected with the No. 190 overall selection in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft by the Montreal Canadiens, D'Agostini has played in 267 career regular-season games and has amassed 95 points (47 goals, 48 assists).
