Chris Stewart has come to terms on a contract extension with the St. Louis Blues, according to multiple reports on Friday afternoon. The restricted free agent forward spent 2013 on a one-year, $3 million contract, according to CapGeek.com.

The St. Louis Blues will sign restricted free agent forward Chris Stewart to a two-year contract extension.

Stewart and the Blues agreed on a two-year, $8.3 million contract that carries an annual average value of $4.15 million against the salary cap, according to Tim Wharnsby of the CBC.
Originally selected with the No. 18 overall pick in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft by the Colorado Avalanche, Stewart was acquired by the Blues in 2011 with defenseman Kevin Shattenkirk in the Erik Johnson trade. In 319 career regular season games, Stewart has accumulated 202 points (100 goals and 102 assists).
Stewart played in all 48 games in 2013, registering 36 points (18 goals and 18 assists), 40 penalty minutes and an average of 15:49 of ice time.
