Greg Zanon, Hal Gill, Kris Russell and Matt Hunwick have been placed on regular waivers on Tuesday afternoon, according to Bob McKenzie of TSN. In addition, McKenzie reports that Keith Ballard cleared waivers on Tuesday.
Gill, Hunwick, Russell and Zanon placed on waivers Tuesday; Ballard clears
Four players were placed on regular waivers on Tuesday afternoon, while defenseman Keith Ballard cleared from Monday afternoon.

Hunwick and Zanon were both placed on waivers by the Colorado Avalanche, with both defenders entering the final-year of their contracts in the 2013-14 season. Hunwick is scheduled to count for $1.6 million against the cap, while Zanon amounts to $2.25 million.
Gill was placed on waivers by the Nashville Predators because manager David Poile believes the selection of Seth Jones with the No. 4 overall pick in the 2013 NHL Draft made the veteran defender expendable. He has one-year remaining on a contract that accounts for $2 million against the salary cap.
Russel completed the final-year of a three-year, $3.9 million contract with the St. Louis Blues and is scheduled to become a restricted free agent this summer.
