Six months later, we've got it right this time. Unrestricted free agent forward Jarome Iginla has agreed to terms on a contract with the Boston Bruins, according to Bob McKenzie of TSN on Friday. Iginla is signed to a one-year, $6 million contract.

Having played out the final year of a five-year, $35 million contract that carried an annual average value of $7 million against the salary cap with the Pittsburgh Penguins last season, Iginla's pending unrestricted free agency was a topic of discussion over recent years.
Spending the entirety of his career with the Calgary Flames organization, many speculated that Iginla would be moved in order to replenish the struggling franchise. That ultimately proved to be the case. Choosing to join the Penguins at the trade deadline instead of the Bruins, Iginla believed playing in Pittsburgh would be his best chance at winning a Stanley Cup.
In a painful twist, it was the Bruins who eliminated the Penguins in the Eastern Conference Final by way of a dominating sweep. Now, Iginla will hope to capture that elusive championship with Boston. Since he couldn’t beat them, he has joined them.
In 1,232 career regular season games, Iginla has registered 1,106 points (530 goals and 576 assists).
