The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League has confirmed the death of Jordan Boyd on Monday morning. The 16-year-old prospect was a member of the Acadie-Bathurst Titan and collapsed during an individual training session on Monday.

A 16-year-old prospect in the QMJHL collapsed and died at practice on Monday morning.


Acadie-Bathurst medical staff attempted to revive the player several times prior to transporting him to a local hospital where he was confirmed dead by a doctor. According to the team, Boyd underwent a full medical exam prior to the start of training camp and was fully cleared to participate.
Limited information about the situation was available at the time of this writing. The QMJHL confirmed via press release that an autopsy has been ordered.
