The men challenged with representing the host nation in the 2014 Sochi Olympics has been unveiled, as Russia officially released the roster for their men’s hockey team.

Russia has unveiled it’s men’s ice hockey roster for the 2014 Winter Olympics.


Columbus Blue Jackets goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky, Colorado Avalanche goaltender Semyon Varlamov, Washington Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin and Pittsburgh Penguins superstar Evgeni Malkin highlight the NHL talent playing for Russia. In addition, former NHL stars (and current KHL superstars) Alexander Radulov and Ilya Kovalchuk were also named to the team.
