The Buffalo Sabres-Carolina Hurricanes game that was postponed this week due to a blizzard in Buffalo has been rescheduled for Feb. 25, the NHL announced on Thursday afternoon. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.

The Sabres and Hurricanes will play their snowed out game on Feb. 25, cutting short the NHL’s Olympic break.

The only potential issue is the date is the final day of what was supposed to be the NHL’s 17-day Olympic break. The NHLPA had to approve the decision to play the game on the Feb. 25.
The problem with that is the Gold Medal game at the Olympics is on Feb. 23, and if any of the Sabres' or Hurricanes' Olympians -- and there are quite a few on both sides, including Ryan Miller, Jhonas Enroth, Justin Faulk and Thomas Vanek -- have to play in that game, it doesn't give them a ton of time to get from Sochi, Russia, back to Buffalo, N.Y.
There could be a few exhausted, jet-lagged players hitting the ice that night.
