It’s not a particularly busy Wednesday night across the NHL, but at least the schedule makers and TV decision makers gave us a better national game than the Carolina-Buffalo matchup we were treated to on Tuesday.
How to watch Wednesday’s NHL schedule, game times, preview and TV coverage
There are only three games in the NHL on Wednesday, but at least the country will get a better game on national TV than it did on Tuesday.

It's NBCSN rivalry night and it's going to feature an Original Six matchup between the Boston Bruins and Detroit Red Wings. It is the second meeting of the year between these two teams, with Detroit already having won a 2-1 game back on Oct. 9. The Bruins are trying to end a three-game losing streak.
Meanwhile, the Calgary Flames are playing the second night of a back-to-back and have to travel to Chicago to take on Jonathan Toews and the Blackhawks. The schedule wraps up with a late game in Arizona, where the Coyotes will be hosting the Edmonton Oilers just 24 hours after they were embarrassed by the defending Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings.
