It's Friday and that means gearing up for the good old hockey game and we've got six of them tonight. The main event will come in Philadelphia where the Flyers host the Columbus Blue Jackets at 7:00 p.m. ET. That might not seem like a big deal with Columbus struggling, but it marks the return of Scott Hartnell to Philly.
NHL schedule 2014: Hartnell returns to Philly, Blackhawks face Red Wings
A familiar face returns to his old home and an ancient rivalry is renewed. Elsewhere, Sidney Crosby and the Penguins head to Toronto.

As you may remember, Hartnell was traded to Columbus in the offseason in a deal that sent R.J. Umberger to the Flyers. While things aren't going so hot for Umberger, Hartnell is third on the Blue Jackets in points behind Ryan Johansen and Nick Foligno. Those three players are the only ones in double figures for the Blue Jackets so far this season.
Most players that return to Philadelphia may not get a hero’s welcome upon returning but expect Hartnell to get just that when he’s introduced at Wells Fargo Center.
Elsewhere, the Chicago Blackhawks visit the Detroit Red Wings at 7:30 p.m. for one of their two meetings this season. Both Detroit and Chicago come in with 19 points and the Blackhawks have won two in a row.
Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins had their eight-game win streak snapped rudely by the New York Rangers on Tuesday and will look to get back into it against the Toronto Maple Leafs at Air Canada Center at 7:30 p.m.
