Valtteri Filppula scores on Islanders from impossible angle

Despite a fantastic setup by Steven Stamkos, there's no reason Valtteri Filppula should have scored on the power play against the Islanders on Saturday.

With the Tampa Bay Lightning on the man advantage, Stamkos received the puck at the right circle. It's his favorite spot to shoot from, so everyone on the ice was surprised when he instead passed to Filppula at the side of the net. The veteran center then one-upped his captain's brilliance with a goal from a ridiculous angle. The fact that he scored defies all logic.
