Beautiful Steven Stamkos goal set up by Rick Nash
They’re most certainly not teammates.

There you see New York Rangers forward Rick Nash sending a pass right to Tampa Bay Lightning forward Valtteri Filppula who springs Steven Stamkos for a breakaway goal.
We already saw Stamkos do his thing as a playmaker in the first period and watching him deke out Henrik Lundqvist so thoroughly is remarkable.
But that turnover by Nash is the stuff that makes a player hide their eyes during a video review session. Sure, Ryan Callahan may have nicked the puck as he lunged his stick forward, but it's clear he saw Martin St. Louis streaking up the wing... He just didn't see Filppula camped out at center ice.
Nash’s “assist” helped Stamkos tie him and Tyler Seguin for the league-lead in goals with 12.
