Halloween weekend ends with a heavier slate of NHL games than usual on a Sunday, with eight games on the docket. So instead of throwing away those pumpkins tonight, why don’t you just leave them outside for awhile longer and enjoy some hockey?
How to watch Sunday’s NHL schedule, start times, TV coverage and live stream
Cleaning up after Halloween Weekend can wait. Watch hockey instead.

You might have to wait for the best matchup of the night, however, as the Ducks take on the Avalanche at 8 p.m. ET. Anaheim is riding high after a 2-1 overtime win in Dallas and should be locked in when the puck drops in Denver. The Avalanche might be struggling to start the year, but they pack plenty of explosive offense and should make this game interesting.
If you don't feel like waiting, you can latch on to the Flames and Canadiens at 7 p.m. Montreal is playing well behind a sparkling Carey Price, and Calgary has continued its surprising start to the season. But really, you simply need to watch just to catch one of those sweet moves by Johnny Gaudreau.
Even the late games are interesting, as Chicago will try to rebound off a difficult loss in Toronto against a Jets team that somehow shut out the Rangers and Henrik Lundqvist in New York. Can Ondrej Pavelec pull off two incredible performances in a row? Probably not, but it'll be fun to watch him try.
