Either way, the Hurricanes have scored four unanswered goals over the span of four periods and currently lead the Kings 1-0 because of this beautiful goal by Victor Rask:
The Hurricanes shut out the Arizona Coyotes on Saturday night, 3-0. It was their first win of the season. As a point of reference, Carolina scored a total of four goals over three games last week ... while allowing 15. Now, the Hurricanes have scored four goals over four periods while allowing zero.
In my opinion, they will continue winning games if they can sustain that goal differential ratio.
Los Angeles has Anze Kopitar and Marian Gaborik back in the lineup. It hasn't made a difference, yet. Jonathan Quick has played well despite the deficit.
Carolina has outshot Los Angeles 9-7 through one period.
