What we have here is an excellent example of the two sides of puck luck.
On one hand, we have Dallas Stars center Cody Eakin whiffing on his shot, spinning around to whack the puck toward the net where it then bounced off Jan Hejda's skate into his own net. Puck luck!
On the other hand, we have the eternally regressing Colorado Avalanche.
