How to watch Monday’s NHL schedule online: Start times, TV coverage and preview

The Blues and Rangers play in the NHL’s only game on Monday.

Jasen Vinlove-USA TODAY Sports

Nothing cures a case of the Mondays like a full slate of NHL games.

Unfortunately that is not what you'll find when you get home from work tonight. Yes, just one measly game is on the docket for Monday, as the St. Louis Blues visit the Big Apple to play the New York Rangers at 7 p.m. ET.

Winners of four straight, the Blues are surging into their matchup against the Rangers. A big part of their success is the play of youngster Vladimir Tarasenko. St. Louis has lacked a pure goal-scoring threat for years now, but Tarasenko has looked the part so far this season. He scored two goals on Saturday in St. Louis' win against the Colorado Avalanche. It appears the Blues will be without center Paul Stastny for at least one more game before his return from injury.

The Rangers are enjoying a similar stretch of good form, having earned a point in five of their last six games. Rick Nash was a force during the first matchup between these two teams on opening night, so we'll see if he can continue his dominance and give New York an edge. The Rangers are coming off a 1-0 shutout loss against the Winnipeg Jets on Saturday.
