On Friday morning, Edmonton general manager Craig MacTavish stressed his struggling team would continue to follow the process. We can only assume that part of the process involves not letting their losing streak reach 12 games. The Oilers will try to do just that against the San Jose Sharks Sunday.
NHL schedule 2014: Oilers look to snap 11-game losing streak against Sharks
Can Edmonton sink even lower against San Jose?

The Sharks and Oilers are just two of eight teams playing on the final day of the weekend in what should be a quieter night than Saturday. While the schedule Sunday won’t match the 12-game slate from Saturday, a few teams near the top of the standings will be in action, including the Vancouver Canucks, who will travel to Ottawa to take on the Senators. While they can’t match Edmonton’s futility streak, the Senators will enter the game with a five-game losing streak of their own.
Elsewhere, the Anaheim Ducks visit Winnipeg as both clubs look to keep improving after a slow start to the year. In Anaheim's case, the cause of their problems has been injuries and sickness. Now that it looks like Corey Perry will miss some time with a bug of his own, the Jets have a better chance of pulling off the upset Sunday. The Red Wings traveling to Carolina to face the Hurricanes rounds out the schedule for the day.
Here is a complete look at the Sunday slate. All game times are Eastern.
